The Marion Family Foundation is a family foundation established by Dennis and Barbara Marion. The foundation supports nonprofit organizations whose work strengthens communities and improves quality of life.
The foundation supports a wide range of organizations working in areas such as youth and family services, healthcare, education, and the arts. It is particularly interested in projects and programs that demonstrate strong local impact and create meaningful, lasting change within the communities they serve. Grantmaking is guided by a commitment to thoughtful, responsive philanthropy and to supporting organizations whose work aligns with the foundation’s values.
Barbara Marion devoted her life to serving others and was guided by kindness, curiosity, and a deep commitment to giving back. The Marion Family Foundation honors her legacy by supporting nonprofit organizations that strengthen communities and create meaningful, lasting change in the places and causes that mattered deeply to her and to Dennis.
The Marion Family Foundation accepts grant applications once per year through a competitive review process.
Applications for the 2026 grant cycle will be accepted from April 1 through June 30, 2026. The submission deadline is June 30, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in September 2026, and grant disbursements will be made by the end of the calendar year.
Eligibility
Applicants must be IRS recognized 501(c)(3) public charities or have a qualified fiscal sponsor.
The foundation considers both project support and general operating support requests, provided the work aligns with the foundation’s mission and values.
Applications from individuals are not accepted.
Application Process
All application materials must be submitted as one combined PDF file and emailed to info@marionfamilyfoundation.org. Applicants should follow the instructions outlined in the 2026 Grant Application Cover Sheet, available on this site from April 1 through June 30, 2026.
